FREE TRADING JOURNAL

Free Trading Journal for Futures Traders

Aurafy is a free trading journal built for serious review, and the free plan is the trial that never expires. Journal every trade, track win rate, P&L, and R-multiples, right in your browser at app.aurafy.dev. Aurafy Pro ($49/mo) replaces the ~$103/mo stack of TradeZella + Loom + FX Replay, journal, screen recording, and a bar-replay backtester (the chart is free for everyone) in one tool, ~50% off the stack.

Why traders can try Aurafy safely

Aurafy is a young, independent trading journal. It earns trust by keeping the local app usable without an account, making desktop data exportable, and being clear about which features are free and which require Pro.

Local-first desktop
Your desktop journal works locally; cloud sync is optional.
No lock-in posture
Desktop data lives in SQLite and can be exported/backed up.
~50% off the stack
Aurafy Pro is $49/mo, replaces the ~$103/mo stack of journal + screen recording + bar-replay backtester. The backtester chart is free for everyone; Pro unlocks unlimited simulated trades, history jumps, analytics and exports.

Why another trading journal?

Most trading journals stop at P&L and a few charts. Aurafy helps traders track trades, analyze performance, and review the behavior behind each entry. Free is a real, usable journal, log every trade and see your core stats. Pro ($49/month) adds full all-time history, advanced analytics, mistake tracking, screen recording with auto-linked replay, prop firm tracking, and unlimited use of the bar-replay backtester (whose chart is free for everyone). First 50 customers lock in founding pricing ($19/mo or $149/yr) for the life of the subscription.

What's in Free?

Free is the trial that never expires, a genuine journal, not a teaser: unlimited trade logging via manual entry or CSV import, core stats (win rate, P&L, R-multiple), the daily journal, 1 trading account, and 3 playbook setups, all in your browser at app.aurafy.dev. The one limit worth knowing up front: the trade log and stats show your last 30 days, every trade still saves, but the older history and the deeper analytics live in Pro. Pro ($49/month, or $490/year, save 2 months) unlocks full all-time history, advanced analytics, mistake tracking, time-of-day breakdowns, unlimited accounts, unlimited playbooks, screen recording, prop firm tracking, and unlimited use of the bar-replay backtester (the chart is free for everyone).

Import from Tradovate and NinjaTrader

CSV import is in Free. Drop your CSV export in and Aurafy pairs buy/sell executions into closed trades, extracts stop prices from order files when present, handles accounting-format fees like $(8.50), and calculates P&L and R-multiples. Works with Tradovate's Orders and Fills CSVs and NinjaTrader 8 executions.

Recording review on Pro

Screen recording is handled by the free standalone Aurafy Recorder app (Mac, Windows, Linux), it records any app with a camera bubble and a ⌘⇧A hotkey, then auto-links each recording to the trades from that session window so the decision context is one click away. Recording review is a Pro feature.

R-multiple and tick-level analytics

Set a stop price and Aurafy computes your risk in dollars, then expresses each outcome as a multiple of that risk. Grouped stats by setup, instrument, time of day, day of week, the usual slicing, but built around R rather than dollar P&L.

Setup playbook

Attach reference chart images to each A+ setup, write your rules, and flip through the playbook before every session. Nothing fancy, just a way to keep the high-quality patterns visible.

Psychology and mistake tags

Four tag categories: setup, emotion, mistake, custom. Tag every trade in under a second and review the patterns. Most traders find a single emotion, usually FOMO or revenge, accounts for 80% of their red days.

What happens to early users?

Existing early users who signed up before the Free tier limits launched are grandfathered and keep full all-time history at no charge. New signups get the current Free tier described above, a real journal with a rolling 30-day window, with full history available on Pro.

Where do I use it?

Aurafy is a web app, you journal at app.aurafy.dev from any machine with a browser, nothing to install. Your trades live in your account, so the same journal is there whether you sign in from your trading desktop, a laptop, or a phone. Screen recording is handled separately by the free standalone Aurafy Recorder app (Mac, Windows, Linux), which records your session and auto-links each recording to your trades.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get started?
Sign up at app.aurafy.dev and journal right in your browser, nothing to install. Free covers core journaling and stats; Pro unlocks full all-time history, advanced analytics, screen recording, unlimited accounts, and unlimited playbooks on top.
What does the 30-day limit mean?
On the Free tier, every trade you log is saved permanently, nothing is deleted. The trade log and stats just display your most recent 30 days. Upgrade to Pro to see and analyze your full all-time history.
How many trading accounts can I have on Free?
Free includes 1 trading account. Pro includes unlimited accounts, which is useful if you run separate personal and prop-firm accounts.
Will existing users lose access?
No. Traders who signed up before the Free limits launched are grandfathered and keep full all-time history for free.
Is Aurafy trading education?
No. Aurafy does not teach you how to trade. It helps you track, review, and understand your own trading behavior.
Why $49 for Pro?
Most futures traders cobble together TradeZella ($49/mo journal) + Loom ($15/mo screen recorder) + FX Replay ($39/mo backtester) = ~$103/mo. Aurafy Pro bundles the journal, screen recording, and a bar-replay backtester whose chart is free for everyone, for $49/month (or $490/year, save 2 months). Same price as TradeZella alone, ~50% off the stack. First 50 customers lock in founding pricing, $19/mo or $149/yr, for the life of the subscription.
What brokers does it support?
Tradovate and NinjaTrader have native auto-import. Any broker that exports a CSV works with the manual mapper. Interactive Brokers, Rithmic, and CQG exports have been tested.
Does it work on Mac and Windows?
Yes, Aurafy runs in any modern browser, so Mac, Windows, and Linux all work the same. There is nothing to install, just open app.aurafy.dev.
Where does my data go?
Your trades are stored in your Aurafy account in encrypted Cloudflare storage. You can export everything to CSV anytime, there is no lock-in, and we never sell your data.
Can I import from TradeZella or TraderSync?
If you can export your trades as CSV, use Aurafy's generic CSV importer. Import a small sample first, map the columns, and confirm the results before moving a full history.
Is there a mobile app?
Not yet. A native mobile app is on the roadmap. Today Aurafy is a web app (app.aurafy.dev); it works in a mobile browser but is built desktop-first.
