What Edgewonk does well

Edgewonk has a mature, focused product and an annual pricing model many traders prefer over another monthly subscription. It also has unique review features around metrics, strategy testing, mistake tracking, and structured analysis. If you already like that workflow, there is no need to pretend it is a weak product.

Where Aurafy pulls ahead

Recording review is the big one, Edgewonk doesn't have it. Setup playbook and psychology tracking are comparable. Aurafy gives you a free starting point, a real journal with core stats, then a single $49/month Pro tier (or $490/year, save 2 months) when you need full all-time history, advanced analytics, screen recording, and unlimited use of the bar-replay backtester (the chart is free for everyone). Migrating

Edgewonk's export produces a CSV. Aurafy's generic CSV importer covers it. Map the columns (Edgewonk's schema is slightly different from Tradovate/NinjaTrader), save the preset, and the next import is one-click.

When to stick with Edgewonk

If you already have years of Edgewonk history, or if its unique analysis workflow is central to how you review trades, migration may not be worth the disruption. If you are evaluating journals fresh, Aurafy is a lower-friction starting point because you can begin free and only upgrade when your review process needs more depth.
