NINJATRADER

NinjaTrader Trading Journal, Import NT8 Executions & Analyze

Aurafy imports NinjaTrader 8 execution exports, pairs them into closed trades, and runs the same R-multiple and tick-level analytics as the Tradovate path. Works with both the Executions grid export and the SuperDOM fill log. Free to start, web-based, and futures-first.

Why traders can try Aurafy safely

Aurafy is a young, independent trading journal. It earns trust by keeping the local app usable without an account, making desktop data exportable, and being clear about which features are free and which require Pro.

Local-first desktop
Your desktop journal works locally; cloud sync is optional.
No lock-in posture
Desktop data lives in SQLite and can be exported/backed up.
~50% off the stack
Aurafy Pro is $49/mo, replaces the ~$103/mo stack of journal + screen recording + bar-replay backtester. The backtester chart is free for everyone; Pro unlocks unlimited simulated trades, history jumps, analytics and exports.

Exporting from NinjaTrader 8

Right-click the Executions grid in Control Center → Export → save as CSV. That's it. NinjaTrader 8 uses a consistent column format across accounts, so no per-account configuration is needed. For the SuperDOM fills, the export option is in the SuperDOM settings menu.

How NT8 execution pairing works

Same FIFO stack as the Tradovate path, but the CSV columns are different. Aurafy detects the NT8 format automatically on drop and applies the correct column map. Each closed trade comes out with side, entry/exit prices, quantity, and times. Stop prices are not exported in the executions CSV, if you want R-multiples, either set stops manually after import or export your Orders log separately.

Multi-account imports

If you run multiple NT8 accounts (Sim101, a funded eval, a live account), Aurafy separates them on import based on the Account column. Each account maps to an Aurafy account so your stats don't mix sim with live. You can rename accounts later without breaking the link.

What about TopStep, Apex, or other NT-based prop firms?

These firms route through NinjaTrader with a broker adapter (usually Rithmic or CQG). The executions export format is identical, so the import works the same. The prop firm journal page covers the multi-account workflow for TopStep and Apex specifically.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it support NinjaTrader 7?
NT7 has been end-of-life for a while; the executions export format differs. Manual CSV mapping works but the auto-detect won't. Most active NT7 users can migrate to NT8 via the platform's own migration flow.
Can I import from NT's Orders grid instead?
Yes, Orders CSV includes stop prices, which lets Aurafy compute R-multiples automatically. Executions CSV is faster but lacks stops.
Does Aurafy work with Rithmic, CQG, or other NT data feeds?
Aurafy doesn't connect to data feeds, it only reads NT's own execution exports. So Rithmic, CQG, and any other NT-connected feed is transparently supported.
What about indicator PnL from NinjaTrader strategies?
NT strategy backtests can be exported and imported as a separate "backtest" account. Aurafy flags these so live-trading stats don't get polluted.
